Semblanza

Estudió la licenciatura en Química Industrial en la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos, titulándose en abril de 1989. A contribuido con su trabajo de manera dedicada, asidua y de calidad, a las tareas académicas de la UNAM. A partir de su ingreso en 1989 como personal académico de carrera de éste Centro.
Actualmente se encuentra adscrita en el grupo de investigación del Dr. Víctor González, en el Programa de Genómica Evolutiva.Su labor se ha centrado en el área de la Genómica Microbiana siendo una técnica de alta especialización en metodologías de secuenciación automatizada, ensamblaje, análisis bioinformático y anotación de secuencias.
Ha tomado una amplia gama de cursos de actualización que le permiten participar activamente en la implementación de análisis bioinformático. Su nivel de conocimientos le ha permitido asesorar con éxito no solamente a estudiantes doctorales sino también a investigadores establecidos. Esta capacidad le ha permitido ser un participante clave en trabajos para el desarrollo del éste Centro.
